Having imperfections is a part of life, we all have them. However for the glymera, it’s not only frowned upon it’s a down right crime. This is the reality that Qhuinn has had to live with his entire life. Why you ask? It’s because he has mismatched eyes. He has had one hard life and he can really only rely on his two best friends, John Matthew and Blaylock. However fate kinda has other plans for him when he (finally) figures out he really only loves his best friend Blay. Lover at Last is his story so I can only imagine what will happen but since the book comes out in March of 2013 I have some time to kill before then ;).

I have to admit, I’ve been rooting for Qhuinn from the beginning and I really want his character to be happy. I don’t have the best memory so I trusted that the temp cover would be correct…well it wasn’t. I have the eye colors as left being green and right being blue with the red ‘tattoo’ under the left eye (which was correct) which is what is on the cover, but they are wrong. *gasp* I know! Horrible fan I am, so I apologize for it and do plan on redoing this look along with Rehv. So hopefully you can look past that and enjoy! So I just read on goodreads that JR Ward said the cover is not wrong, but the original description of Qhuinn was from John’s POV so I guess I had it right, but the tattoo might be wrong then…

I never really noticed how hard it was to use yellow on my skin without it looking like I was sick. I used yellow as a blush and I don’t think you can even see it really. I did once use yellow and brown together for a Hufflepuff look and I really loved it so it sometimes does look ok on me. Well I hope you all enjoy it and my hair trials are coming soon 😀

Second is Yellow.
It represents youth, fun, happiness, sunshine and other light playful feelings. It is a cheerful energetic color. Yellow is often used for children’s toys and clothes. Though yellow is a bright cheerful color, as it starts to darken it, however, quickly becomes a dirty and unpleasant color. Yellow can also be associated with being scared and, cowards.

So I lied… I originally began this look fully intending to do some face charts for Oklahoma. Then once I got my foundation on and tried my new concealer, I was looking through my inspiration folder and saw this one picture and I wanted to recreate it. So once I did I remembered I had a lot of my grandmothers jewelry and I wanted to add some to the look so then it became this weird hybrid that I am calling Ice Princess. I hope you enjoy it! Side Note: when I was coming up for a look for my Citizen of Panem look, I googled Kabuki makeup since that’s where the makeup artist drew inspiration from. That’s how I found this photo.

Grain…yup grain. So I realize that most of the District looks are very extreme. Nothing you would wear out day to day. With grain I wanted to do something less extreme. I didn’t want this to just be an experiment of what can I glue to my face. So short of buying some bits of oatmeal and sticking it to my face (I thought about it) this is the look I came up with. I wanted to use my loose pigments for this look and I actually really liked them. I thought I was going to hate them and that I was going to have bits of shadow everywhere but they stuck to the pencils fairly nicely. If you look at the crease of my eyes then you’ll see a hint of a red color. Originally I had used a red from the 120 palette and I hated how it looked. So I just placed Wild over it and it looked much better. The first face picture is with a flash and natural light so that’s why I look like a ghost. The 2nd face is with just flash.
Enjoy! Now I know my description kinda stinks so you can read more about it on the Hunger Games Wiki.

Oh my! I need to update more often! I had all the images done but I was procrastinating on posting anything, so I apologize for that! Anyway, District Eight in Textiles. They are responsible for making the textiles that other districts clothe themselves in and for the clothes that the Capitol Wears. Peacekeeper uniforms are their main export however. I wanted something that really represented the making of clothes but when I tried fabric pieces they looked really off. I tried using some netting but it didn’t show up either. So I decided on buttons! The white buttons represent the white color of the Peacekeeper uniforms and the colored sequins are for the very colorful clothes the citizens of the Capitol wear. Note to self; when glueing sequins to your face, the brighter ones pinks and oranges will leave some coloring staining behind.
Enjoy! Now I know my description kinda stinks so you can read more about it on the Hunger Games Wiki.
