I mean for those of you who might be new here, heck at this point I’m new here, I am plus size, fluffy, round, larger, whatever terms you would like to use, I fall into that category when having to shop for clothing items. This year is a little different from others and since I found myself with a bit more time on my hands, I decided I was going to use our pool more often. This was a great idea, not only because of the record heat waves but also because of the extra pounds I found myself putting on due to working from home then being furloughed.
This led to the newest issue; which suit to wear. Now I have one suit that I have had for years and love it! The length hides the chub on my upper legs and the neckline is deep enough where I can get a little sun if I want (always wear sunscreen peeps). The middle is covered by the bottom half, but underneath it’s like a mesh…this is the issue. That mesh grows thinner and thinner with each wear. If the mesh goes, the suit goes so I need to have some sort of back up. Last year I found this cute two piece at Walmart, the top was a halter and covered my tummy and the bottom was a skirt that covered the upper leg chub…on the model. Isn’t this how it always goes? In the photo the skirt was plenty long, once I got it, I might as well be wearing normal undies. The only way this suit worked was with normal shorts on top thusly defeating the purpose of a cute suit.
This year I wasn’t going to be fooled by Wal Mart…I was going to try Amazon for a new suit. That is where I found a cute olive green 2 piece with shorts!!! SHORTS?! They must be long enough to cover that upper chub, right? Well think again…will I ever find the perfect suit? Does it even exist for under $100? Yes, I know the money is a new thing, but let’s be real here; I’m not going to spend that much on a swimsuit for 2 months of the year.

Pictures of me may soon follow, if I find the gumption.
