Now that I’m getting back into the swing of things I’m going to try a few different versions of these posts. I will always try and include a before makeup application preview, but I normally look the same at 4am so there’s not a whole lot of reason to take a new one each day, but that might change down the road. For this post we are looking at the longevity of the L’Oreal True Match Foundation in Nude Beige W3. I will do my best to include a shortcut table at the end of this post, but for those of you intrigued by how this foundation held up for me, continue reading!
I think, like most of us, can sometimes struggle with my undertone and color. I think I mostly have my color nailed down, but in some foundations, I have a yellow undertone and in others it’s a neutral one. I know that a lot of the drugstore foundations I have tend to run toward the pinky undertone, so I have to wear those when I won’t be exposing my neck. I did debate picking up this foundation for a long time, since it doesn’t offer mattifying properties, but I figured I could get around that by using a different primer.
The foundation does go on smoothly, there is no pump so I tend to put my finger over the opening, then tip it and dot the liquid on my face. I firstly go in with one layer, and then double up on the tops of my cheeks and my undereye area. I then let the foundation dry and set it with a powder (I either use a translucent one or a light powder). I then continue on with contour, blush, and highlighter.
For this foundation alone, I would have to say it deserves a 3/5 for my skin. I love the color and the wear of it, my skin just breaks it down a little too fast on its own and I need to wear a mattifying primer under it; but when I do, it’s perfect. Onto some photos though!
