So I don’t know if I mentioned this on here but back in August (yes, August) I was on a medical leave from work and was not feeling well at all. I wasn’t able to drive anywhere and could barely walk. So that led to some online shopping. I wasn’t able to go whole hog, but I did get some new items from Sally’s Beauty Supply. I bought these items,
Silk Elements Mega Shine Spray; Now this is a heat protection spray that promises to leave your hair soft and shine-y. What I love; it has a neutral smell. It’s not super sweet, nor does it smell like olive oil. It leaves my hair soft after a blow dry which is surprising since I’m not the best at drying my hair. What I dislike; you have to be very careful with where you spray it. I avoid roots all together. I use it only on the ends of my hair because the first time I used it I sprayed it everywhere and within 6 hours my roots were looking like 3 day old hair. Not pretty. Would I repurchase?; Possibly, I have so many heat protectents I wouldn’t need a new one for a few months, and nothing stands out superbly about this one to make me run out for one.
Beyond the Zone Turn up the Heat: Beyond the Zone is Sally’s line and is sold only in their locations and online. What I like; the scent. It smells sweet and really nice. It doesn’t linger on/in my hair though. Although my hair doesn’t ever keep the scents from shampoos either. From what I can tell, it does its job and leaves my hair super shine-y after, but not a dirty shine. What I dislike; Nothing to do with the product, more the packaging. Sometimes I love the crazyness but sometimes I want my cabinet to look all the same and neutral. Will I repurchase?; Again, I have lot of them, so I wouldn’t run out for it, but I would like to have it in a smaller size in my cabinet as a staple. So, yes.
Beyond the Zone Smooth Criminal A hair primer from Sally’s. I use a primer for makeup, why not for my hair? What I like; again with the smell. It’s a nice fruity smell. It doesn’t really leave a trace on my hair, and it doesn’t leave it feeling heavy. What I dislike; I can’t tell if it does anything for my hair. I don’t see any extra damage from heating products, but I didn’t have damage from before so I just can’t tell what it’s doing. Would I repurchase? I don’t think so. Plus this bottle is so huge, I don’t think I’ll run out…
Sorry this took so long, but hopefully this will help someone! Plus I have loads of hauls to put up and some new looks to post!
