Conair Ceramic Instant Heat 3/4″ Spiral Styler |
Ease of Use: 3.5/5, Results: 4/5 |
Yay! A new toy! So first off can I note that the handle and iron length are almost the same? It has a nice long handle, and long barrel. I love it! The heat settings go from 1-25 (odds only) and the box recommends different temperatures for hair types, I don’t remember all of them, but for my hair it recommended 20-22 (which means set on 21). Again, my hair is on the thick side and I have a lot of it. So once you plug it in, decide what temp and turn it on. Once you do you’ll notice it has another button there for a turbo heat…what?!?! Well if you have hard to curl hair, or hair that doesn’t like to hold a curl for long just press this when your hair is on the iron and bam! Extra heat to help set the curl. Once I started I noticed that curling my left side was way easier because of the spiral. You just place a part of your hair in the clip and roll up the barrel. Hold it for 5-10 seconds and release. If you follow the spiral you’ll have lovely little ringlets, if you go over them then why bother using a spiral iron? Anyway, once I got to the right side of my head it was a learning experience but once I got the hang of it the curling went fairly quickly. Now my one issue with this iron was that it turned off once I got to my top layer. This thing has an auto shut off after 60 minutes so that should tell you how long this took. My arms kinda hurt afterward. All in all, I will say I like this iron and am glad I own it so I can pull it out when I want that nice spiral…since that’s all it can do.;) A note about the images, the first curly ones on each side are not combed out, the second ones are. |
